Core architectural drawings
A typical set may include a site or plot reference, dimensioned floor plans, exterior elevations, building sections, roof information, and construction details. The drawings should agree with one another and describe both the layout and the building envelope.
Project and code information
Cover sheets commonly identify the project, drawing index, applicable design criteria, and general notes. Energy, zoning, life-safety, or accessibility information may be shown in the set or supplied through separate documents.
Documents outside the architectural set
A survey, septic design, energy report, truss package, product approvals, or structural engineering may be required separately. Confirm the submission checklist with the authority having jurisdiction before filing.
